đŸ’„ Studio Walls Become the Canvas: When Rock & Horus Hit the Containers

Our goal is always to see the culture respected. This past weekend, two veterans of the local Toronto scene, Rock (@manhatrock) and Horus (@tuffytats), came through the @thesearenottoys Showroom & Studio.

Both have been putting in work since the late 90s, and it was a treat to see these guys linking up and collaborating on one of our shipping containers.

The Art of Two Decades

The strength of this wall is in the contrast between two masters of different styles:

  • Rock (on the left) is known for his fun, non-traditional approach to lettering. His work often plays with flow and unexpected lines, giving his pieces a uniquely energetic character.

  • Horus (on the right) comes from a background in design, and you see that precision in his application. He works within a more traditional graffiti aesthetic but uses smooth colour application and sharp contrast to elevate the overall piece.

On their own, both styles are distinct. Together on the container, their work creates a dialogue—contrasting in approach but working in perfect unison within the space. It’s a clean demonstration of the diverse talent that exists within Toronto graffiti culture.

The Inside Track: From Container Art to Collectibles

We’re proud to offer our containers as a canvas for shipping container graffiti. This exterior art is more than just a welcome sign; it’s a representation of the culture we celebrate inside.

The location at 1110b Dupont St, Toronto, is the home of the @thesearenottoys Showroom and Studio. When you visit to see the wall, you can step inside the container to view our gallery. Here, we feature and sell graffiti collectibles and products from www.graffitiisart.com. The wall is the foundation, and the interior is the curated showcase of the culture's physical legacy.

We send deep respect to Rock and Horus for bringing that quality and history to the space, and to the team at @thesearenottoys for backing the art.
